The characters' psychologies were depicted in a very raw manner it’s terrifying as well as levitating. I like the tension it creates in the story and how the characters deal with them, it felt real and is very entertaining.Ĭharacters are very interesting, they are not the cardboards characters of nowadays horror movies, they have a depth, and aspects of them are depicted in various personality traits, and it is enjoyable to read these characters, having them discover themselves and react in a raw & real way is very refreshing. The horror scenes were full of terror, and gore, are icky, bloody, dark, and dreadful, making them worthy of being called horror. I really like the storytelling style of it, the story is well written and quite engaging.

Not to spoil anything, but the idea of blending time, mind, and soul is very interesting and really entertaining to read, author did a great work in writing this masterpiece. The horror in this book is not at all like the conventional haunted house, it is very unique the horror concept presented in this book is a perfect blend of science and ancient rituals.

What happened to Craig, what the heck does Jack want, what is the mystery of Valhalla, read the novel to find out. After coming into contact with this strange isolated house, Effie notices drastic changes in Craig, which although seems harmless, later on, became sinister in nature. But Valhalla is not a normal house no it was built by the greatest gambler of the times, Jack Belias, the perfect example of toxic masculinity, a maniac who had some evil intentions building the house. Although Effie was not happy with this idea as she did not like the unfriendly environment of the place but for the sake of her husband who seems to be finally excited about something since the accident, she agreed. During their visit they came across a gothic house called Valhalla and Craig strangely got attracted to it’s and decided to buy it immediately.

To help him recuperate and to rebuild their failing marriage his wife, Effie convinced him to a vacation to the countryside. Craig Bellman a big-shot corporate lawyer, had everything a promising career, a beautiful wife, and a life full of triumph at least what he thought to be but everything seems to be crushed after being attacked horrifically, which results in him losing his confidence and a bit of mind. Not to spoil anything but for the sake of this review let's dig in.
